Kevin Gallagher founded Gallagher PR in 1992 and has more than 25 years of public relations and journalism experience. GPR has launched over 50 startups and successfully influenced over 30 mergers and acquisitions and seven IPOs, resulting in over $51 billion in market capitalization on behalf of its clients. GPR is comprised exclusively of Silicon Valley marketing veterans that work as an extension of its clients’ marketing team to provide value at the point of contact.

Previously, Kevin served in both global and Silicon Valley PR agencies and held senior PR management positions with Edelman, Nortel and Ingres Corporation.

Jean Deitz Sexton provides clients with a unique combination of journalism, marketing and Internet commerce experience. She has more than 20 years’ experience in online news services, marketing communications, strategic marketing, public information campaigns, media relations and analyst relations. Her professional experience includes both corporate management positions and outsourced agency and writing services.

As a marketing and media relations professional, Sexton has worked with a wide range of clients, providing technology launch services, repositioning, CEO communications and public information outreach. She has also served as director of research operations for the technology analyst firm RHK [acquired by Ovum] and was responsible for the quality editorial control of 50 analysts.

Sexton holds a B.A., magna cum laude from New York University, with a major in broadcast journalism. She has studied economics and marketing in the M.B.A. program at the University of Santa Clara and has also done graduate work at New York University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Charlie Rubin has more than 30 years of experience in technology analysis, marketing communications, journalism and strategic public relations. Charlie has driven strategy and messaging programs for myriad GPR clients including AirFlow Networks, Allied Telesyn, Entrisphere, Kasenna, Mahi Networks, Peribit Networks, WildPackets, Ikanos Communications, Inkra Networks, Megisto Systems, Redback Networks, and Riverstone Networks.

Previously, he was a partner with Waterside Associates, where he did writing and strategic communications planning for Cisco Systems, Legato Systems, MIPS Computer Systems, Sun Microsystems, The Semiconductor Industry Association, and Visa International, among others. In addition to his work in PR, Charlie was an industry analyst for Internet Research Group (acquired by Jupiter Research). As an analyst, he was responsible for highly regarded multi-vendor reports in the areas of Internet traffic management, network caching, and global content distribution.

As a technology writer, author, and journalist, Charlie began his career as an associate editor of Personal Computing magazine, later wrote dozens of freelance articles for many technical and business publications (including InfoWorld, PC Week, Popular Science, Newsweek, UnixWorld, and The Wall Street Journal), and was nominated for a National Magazine Award. His technical marketing communications clients have included Apple Computer, Ashton-Tate, Cisco Systems, Compaq, HP, Intel, Lotus, Microsoft, and Xerox. In addition, Charlie has written 15 books about computer hardware, software, and Internet marketing for such publishers as Addison-Wesley, Houghton-Mifflin, Howard Sams, Microsoft Press, and Pearson Publishing.

Charlie holds BA (magna cum laude) and MA degrees in English from San Francisco State University.

Jennifer Spoerri brings over 20 years of experience specializing in emerging and disruptive technologies.  She understands the significance of delivering real news and authoritative experts and in cultivating long-term relationships with the media. Among her top areas of expertise are emerging and disruptive technology companies in IoT, cloud computing, e-mobility, health and enterprise technology, big data, artificial intelligence, telecom, robotics, remote medical monitoring and augmented/virtual reality.

Equally adept at publicizing technology start-ups and blue-chip brands, Jennifer has a proven track record in media placements for such companies as Aeris, Velodyne LiDAR, ChargePoint, Honor, Keck School of Medicine of USC, LifeSignals, HireVue, AltspaceVR, SEMA and Yahoo Small Business, to name a few.

Jennifer majored in Political Science and Russian at Grinnell College and has a degree in Political Science from San Francisco State.

Jenny’s expertise is centered on corporate communications with a focus on executive thought leadership, brand awareness and awards. She is known for her keen ability to translate deeply technical information into stories that resonate to a broad audience to elevate executive leadership among peers.

To date, she has secured notable speaking moments at leading industry events including Bloomberg NEF Summit San Francisco, Reuters Global Events and SXSW. Additionally, she works with trade domain experts to elevate their presence within their industries across HR tech, DevOps, AI and e-mobility.

Additionally, she has developed and hosted events and user conferences, as well as procured and managed relationships with leading celebrity brand ambassadors for corporations and nonprofits including Polaroid, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, HireVue, IMAX, The Trust for Public Land, Red Bull and Verizon. Jenny graduated with honors from San Francisco State University.

Michelle Suzuki has extensive experience in corporate communications, consumer marketing, social media marketing, crisis and reputation management, ethnic communications, public affairs, community relations and media relations. Her client list includes Mitsubishi Motors North America, Nissan Motor Company, Kirin Brewery of America, Clarion Corporation and Anheuser-Busch to name a few.

Michelle served as senior marketing manager for Clarion Sales Corporation, a Japanese car audio and electronics manufacturer where she led the company’s most successful single-product media tour generating nationwide coverage in both print and broadcast.

Michelle is an executive board member of the Nisei Week Foundation, advisor for Chi Omega National sorority UCLA chapter, Nisei Week Foundation past-president, member of the Japanese American Citizen’s League, Little Tokyo Historical Society, and the Little Tokyo Community Council. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in English and received the Chancellor’s Award for outstanding seniors.

Priya Shah is a passionate and seasoned PR professional with over a decade of experience in public relations, corporate communication and social media marketing. She has worked on communication campaigns for brands in the B2B, consumer, tech/emerging tech, HR tech, travel, food and beverages, retail and nonprofit space with a proven track record of securing coverage in leading publications, including TechCrunch, Business Insider, Forbes, Mashable, CNBC, HuffPost, Barron’s, The Street, The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg. Some of her current and past client work includes companies such as Aeris Communications, ChargePoint, Alignment Healthcare, PTO Exchange, Catalina Island Company, Smart & Final, California’s Central Coast, and Yahoo Small Business to name a few. Her expertise lies in identifying and developing unique story angles that are newsworthy and compelling. Her broad range of experience includes managing media relations, speaker’s bureau, award programs, influencer programs and social media marketing.

Priya started her career as a TV producer with one of India’s premier news networks. She has a Master’s Degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from New York University.

With over 20 years in the public relations industry and an extensive background in computers, design and project management, Rochelle drives GPR’s social media marketing and SEO campaigns by leveraging a wide range of social media assets to influence a comprehensive landscape of constituents. Rochelle utilizes the tools, services and contacts at hand to produce and implement a quality program quickly and efficiently. Her in-depth secondary research and organizational skills have rewarded clients with proven ROI in exceeding target goals and strategic initiatives.

Rochelle’s specialized research skills are a mashup of PR, technology, and design, transforming expansive databases into targeted media lists, editorial/award calendars, and industry event matrixes for speaking placement opportunities.

Rochelle transitioned into public relations from the fashion industry where she spent five years designing a variety of active wear, sportswear, and young men and women’s clothing. Her creative flair led to her clothing lines being featured at The International Sportswear Show and the ASR Shows. Rochelle majored in Two-dimensional Art at CSUN and graduated FIDM in Los Angeles with an Associate of Arts Degree in Fashion Design.

With more than three decades of experience in communications and journalism, Steve has counseled clients on a wide variety of strategic communications and public relations issues. He specializes in message development, media training and presentation/media coaching and has also provided counsel on media relations, crisis and litigation support, issues management and financial communications. Steve previously held leadership positions at Burson-Marsteller and Hill & Knowlton as well as senior corporate communications positions at Amgen, and Great Western Financial Corporation. In these roles, he led corporate public relations, investor relations, employee communications and a variety of corporate communications and crisis initiatives. Steve has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management with emphasis on international business, economics.

James Cooper has worked in B2B and technology PR for over 20 years. Based in the UK, and having been a PR Director for two US technology companies, his deep understanding of the challenges our clients face informs our work approach. An expert in European PR and Analyst Relations, James has delivered successful PR programs for organizations such as Microsoft, IBM, Hybris and McKinsey.

Erin Lumley has over 15 years of consumer and technology experience working on mobile, gaming, VR, social and app developer companies including Appcelerator, Glu Mobile, AltspaceVR, and Sidecar, as well as CRM/ERP experience with Ariba, Flexera, Hightail, Autodesk and Salesforce.com. She also has experience working in Australia and managing international PR campaigns. Erin manages accounts with a results-driven approach and works closely with clients in planning and strategy. Erin graduated from Chico State with a degree in journalism, and was certified in social media by University of San Francisco.

Paul Wiefels is a managing director and one of the founding partners of Chasm Group, a leading Silicon Valley management consultancy serving the global technology industry. Paul has worked with clients in virtually every sector of technology including information technology, consumer technology, biotechnology, medical devices, and technology-based services providing counsel to CEOs, CMOs, and senior management teams in North America, Europe and Asia.

Paul began his career in consumer marketing in both the packaged goods and financial services sector. He was recruited to Apple where he began his career in the technology sector serving in marketing management positions with Apple’s U.S. and international operations.

Prior to joining Chasm Group, he served as director of consulting for Landor Associates, a leading branding consultancy. Prior to Landor, he was worldwide director of product marketing for Ingres Corporation. Paul holds an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business. He has served as a faculty lecturer in the California State University system, and currently lectures at Pepperdine University. He serves on the advisory boards of Versalume, vArmour Networks and Revision Optics.
